12th Annual Fall Fun Day at Hickory Lakes is a celebration for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Longtime Big Brothers Big Sisters supporter Wayne Caudill takes "Bigs" and their "Littles" on a hayride at the 12th annual Fall Fun Day at Hickory Lakes.

The 12th Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Fall Fun Day kicked off the season at Hickory Lakes in Indiana in early October. Hickory Lakes owners, Bill Reynolds and Diane Rhinehart, once again hosted the event.
The City of Lawrenceburg came through with terrific support.
Bigs and Littles played games, won prizes, learned about library resources through BOB (Books on Board—the Bookmobile!), pet 4- H animals, and drove a ‘Mule’ on an obstacle course. The Lawrenceburg Fire Department came out to talk about fire safety, Keith Elkins kept things hopping with his music, and the Ohio County Denver Siekman Environmental Park furnished fishing gear—although the fish refused to cooperate this time!
As always, the Littles enjoyed ‘picking’ their pumpkins from the field and returning to decorate them, and, of course, the Hoola Hoop contests were fun whether watching or participating.
Knowing it takes a lot of effort to put together such an event, longtime Big Brothers Big Sisters supporter Wayne Caudill was at his multi-tasking best—he was the hay ride driver, and also arranged for food, drinks, pumpkins , and the obstacle course.
Fall Fun Day is an annual tradition for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati, one of the monthly activities the agency arranges for the adult volunteer mentors and the children they are paired with. Other activities include Lazer Kraze outings, swimming, roller skating, bowling and more.

For more information about Big Brothers Big Sisters, serving 11 counties in Southeastern Indiana, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky, call Laura Rolf at 812-637-1235 or 800-689-0636 or visit the agency website at www.bigsforkids.org.
